Host, Food Runner and server assistant

Job Summary
We are looking for a friendly and proactive Host, Food Runner, and Server Assistant to join our vibrant hospitality team. In this role, you will be the welcoming face of our restaurant, ensuring guests feel comfortable from the moment they arrive. You will assist in delivering food efficiently, supporting servers, and maintaining a clean, organized dining environment. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about food service, possesses excellent communication skills, and enjoys creating memorable guest experiences in a lively setting.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage seating arrangements to optimize flow and comfort.
• Assist servers by delivering food promptly and accurately to tables, ensuring presentation standards are met.
• Support the serving team with tasks such as refilling drinks, clearing plates, and bussing tables efficiently.
• Help maintain cleanliness in dining areas, including resetting tables and organizing service stations.
• Handle basic food preparation tasks when needed, including setting up utensils or garnishes under supervision.
• Operate POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS to process orders and payments accurately.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication between front-of-house and back-of-house operations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is key.
• Knowledge of food handling safety practices and restaurant operations is a plus.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Experience with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is advantageous.
• Familiarity with restaurant tasks like bussing, food running, and basic food prep enhances your fit for this role.
