Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on building systems, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC components to ensure optimal operation.
- Conduct landscape maintenance activities such as mowing, trimming trees, pruning shrubs, and planting flowers to enhance outdoor aesthetics.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery like excavators for construction, hardscape installation, or land development projects.
- Maintain lawn care routines including irrigation system checks, watering schedules, fertilization, and snow plowing during winter months.
- Assist with tree care tasks such as trimming, pruning, and removal to promote healthy growth and safety.
- Support gardening efforts by planting new greenery, mulching beds, and maintaining horticultural standards.
- Perform snow removal operations using snow plows or shovels to ensure safe access during winter weather conditions.
- Conduct inspections of outdoor areas for hazards or needed repairs and coordinate with team members or external contractors for repairs or landscaping projects.
Experience
- Proven experience in maintenance work with a strong understanding of mechanical systems and landscaping practices.
- Familiarity with lawn care techniques including mowing, irrigation management, and garden maintenance.
- Hands-on experience operating hand tools, power tools, excavators or other heavy machinery used in construction or landscape projects.
- Knowledge of tree care practices such as trimming and pruning to maintain safety and health of trees.
- Ability to perform snow plowing and winter maintenance tasks efficiently during seasonal changes.
- Prior work in horticulture or gardening is preferred but not required; a willingness to learn is highly valued.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues quickly and effectively.
