Duties
- Safely deliver appliances using a box truck or similar vehicle, adhering to all safety protocols and traffic laws
- Unload appliances carefully and verify delivery against purchase orders or work orders
- Install kitchen appliances such as refrigerators, ovens, dishwashers, microwaves, and ranges according to manufacturer specifications and schematics
- Conduct thorough appliance repairs and troubleshooting on-site, including electrical, refrigeration, and mechanical issues
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate installation and repair processes
- Assemble appliances when necessary, ensuring all components are correctly fitted and operational
- Test installed appliances for proper function, making adjustments as needed to meet quality standards
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining appliance features, answering questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Maintain detailed records of installations, repairs, parts used, and service reports for each job
Skills
- Proven experience in appliance repair with a strong understanding of refrigeration systems and HVAC principles
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics and wiring diagrams accurately
- Electrical experience related to appliance wiring, troubleshooting electrical components, and safety procedures
- Field service experience with the ability to diagnose issues quickly and implement effective solutions
- Customer service skills that foster positive interactions with clients during installations or repairs
- Delivery driver experience utilizing a box truck or similar vehicle for safe transportation of appliances
- Assembly skills for various appliances requiring on-site setup or component fitting
