About Us
La Petite Playschool and La Petite Nursery have been serving the Corvallis community since 2008. We are in-home, year-round, state-certified childcare programs with strict health and safety standards, similar to those of a larger childcare facility.
Our primary goal is to provide parents with peace of mind, knowing their children are safe, loved, and well cared for. Our professional, trained staff provide high-quality care for children ages 6 weeks through 6 years.
Position Overview
This is a part-time position averaging 15 to 35 hours per week depending on what the Assistant's needs are.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, nurturing care for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children
- Engage children in age-appropriate play and activities
- Assist with feeding, diapering, and basic care routines
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment
- Support classroom routines and transitions
- Help with light cleaning and facility upkeep
- Follow all health, safety, and licensing requirements
- Must be willing to cover shifts when available
Qualifications
- Must genuinely enjoy working with young children (6 weeks to 3 years of age)
- Must have tons of energy and patience
- Must be dependable with reliable transportation
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds
- Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, active, and sometimes stressful (yet very rewarding) environment
