District Primary Purpose: To assist and promote La Joya ISD in implementing a rigorous curriculum/instructional program that supports student success and achievement.
Department Primary Purpose: Assist the Warehouse Operations and Asset Management Department in the efficient processing and distribution of orders.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High School Diploma/GED
Valid Texas Driver’s License
Forklift Certificate
Knowledge/Skills:
Correct English skills, spelling, punctuation, and report writing techniques, data entry, filing system, and record keeping principles and procedures.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Deliver supplies, materials and equipment to campuses and departments.
- Deliver mail to campuses and departments. Process mail and packages to and from campuses, departments and administration offices.

Assist with receiving and distribution functions in central warehouse and asset management.
- Stock merchandise in central warehouse.
- Report service and maintenance needs of vehicles used in the warehouse and schedule appropriate maintenance work.
- Operate forklift.

Assist with annual physical inventory preparation.
- Secure and safeguard supplies and equipment against theft and damages.
- Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information as may be appropriate and expected of this position.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Mental Demands:
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written in English and Spanish); maintain emotional control under stress.
Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Ability to frequently lift and carry packages in excess of forty (40) pounds. Drive and operate forklift. Strenuous walking, standing/climbing, may be subjected to adverse and hazardous working conditions exposure to dust, toxic chemicals and materials, slippery or uneven walking surfaces. Work outdoors in varied climate conditions. Sometimes work alone.
