We are looking for responsible, personable and hardworking individuals to join our team! The Chef will prepare lunch and dinner meals for up to 18 clients in our Detox treatment facility.
La Jolla Recovery (LJR) is a Joint Commission-accredited substance abuse and mental health treatment center located in La Jolla, CA. We are passionate about helping individuals recover from their addiction/mental illness to rediscover strengths and passion for life. LJR provides Detox, Residential, and Outpatient Services.
Job Title: Chef
Reports to: Director of Operations
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean and safe working station.
- Cook and prepare lunch and dinner meals for up to 18 clients.
- Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen.
- Ensure all food items are stored properly and check quality of ingredients.
- Maintain client confidentiality and ensure HIPAA compliance.
- Maintain professional boundaries with clients.
- Work as part of a team.
Education and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Current TB clearance
- Food Handlers Certification
- One year minimum cooking/food handling experience
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
