La Jolla Recovery (LJR) is a Joint Commission-accredited substance abuse and mental health treatment center located in La Jolla and San Diego, California. We are passionate about helping individuals recover from their addiction/mental illness to rediscover strengths and passion for life. LJR provides Detox, Residential, and Outpatient Services.

Job Title: Behavioral Health Technician

Reports to: Director of Operations

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with transportation of clients to groups, meetings, and appointments.
• Conduct intakes of new clients; search belongings, complete inventory form, etc.
• Perform routine room searches and monitoring of clients.
• Complete required documentation in a timely manner.
• Ensure clients attend groups, meetings and smoke only in designated areas.
• Ensure that Treatment Center rules are followed.
• Perform routine drug testing and breathalyzing of clients.
• Maintain confidentiality as required by local, state and federal laws and guidelines.

Education and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver's License and great driving record.
• Current TB clearance.
• First Aid and CPR Certified.
• Has at least one year sober if in recovery or has a history of substance abuse.
• Able to work nights and/or weekends.
• Understanding of substance abuse and mental health treatment and recovery process.
• Certification as Registered Alcohol and Drug Technician (RADT) preferred but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
