About The Position

We’re seeking friendly, attentive, and service‑oriented Audience Concierges to support our Front of House team and help create exceptional experiences for every patron. In this role, you’ll work closely with the House Manager and Assistant House Managers in key guest‑facing positions throughout the theater, collaborating with volunteer ushers to ensure a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable visit from arrival through curtain call. You’ll receive training in Playhouse policies and procedures and remain in direct communication with Front of House leadership via radio, allowing you to confidently assist patrons, answer questions, and help resolve concerns as they arise—all while being part of the behind‑the‑scenes magic of live performance.

About The Position

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable customer service to patrons throughout their visit.
- Use Playhouse policies and knowledge of the theater grounds to answer questions, resolve concerns, and direct guests to appropriate staff or spaces.
- Learn about the current Playhouse season and organizational history to confidently assist patrons.
- Scan tickets and assist the Front of House team in accommodating patrons with special needs.
- Support the House Manager and Assistant House Managers by troubleshooting ticket scanning issues as needed.
- Proactively greet patrons outdoors and direct them to the correct theater, lobby, or restaurant location.
- Assist guests with parking pay stations and report any issues or concerns to Front of House leadership.
- Operate the Front of House golf cart to assist patrons when requested (training provided).
- Support staff and volunteers with lobby operations.
- Operate assisted listening devices, instruct patrons on their use, and monitor feedback to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist during emergencies or unusual situations, following Playhouse safety protocols and leadership direction.
- Perform additional duties as needed in support of Front of House operations.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
- A love of live theater and a desire to be part of a collaborative, creative environment.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and occasional weekdays or holidays.
- Prior experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm, attentive, and professional in a fast paced environment.
- Willingness to learn and consistently follow theater policies and procedures.
- Attention to detail and a proactive, can do attitude.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team that includes staff and volunteers.
- Willingness and ability to learn how to troubleshoot basic electronic devices (e.g., ticket scanners, assisted listening equipment).
- Frequently stands or walks for extended periods.
- Frequent talking, listening, and engaging with patrons.
- Frequently lifts or moves items weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Occasionally works outdoors in varying weather conditions.
