Overview
Join our dynamic Oral Surgery team as a Patient Coordinator/Receptionist, where your energetic and compassionate approach will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors. In this vital role, you will manage front desk operations, coordinate patient appointments, and ensure seamless communication between patients and surgical staff. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help create a welcoming environment while supporting efficient clinic operations.
Responsibilities
- Greet and check-in all patients, collect all needed and necessary information from them.
- Check out all patients when they are leaving.
- Enter all patient information into the computer.
- Scan all patient information/records into their accounts.
- Collect money due from patients on the day of their procedures.
- Answer phones and backup the Scheduling Coordinator when needed.
- Check messages and faxes then distribute appropriately.
- Confirmation calls to patients informing them of check in/surgery time and pre-op instructions.
- Be a team player at all times, ready and willing to help in any capacity needed.
- Reports directly to the Practice Manager.
Qualifications
- Ability to multitask at a high level.
- Strong verbal communicator – must be able to communicate clearly and concisely in a pleasing voice, using correct grammar and pronunciation.
- Effective relationship manager – must be able to adjust behavior and style to facilitate optimum results in dealing with a variety of personalities, including those of fearful patients and those in pain, referring doctor offices and co-workers.
- Extroverted, friendly personality – should take pleasure in meeting and interacting with individuals and groups.
- Great organization and time-management skills – must be able to structure tasks and administrative duties efficiently and independently.
- Neat, professional and poised image which reflects that of the office.
- Dependability – must be relied upon to execute duties in a consistent manner.
- Above average computer literacy – must be able to use MS Office Word, Excel and Outlook.
