Duties
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring optimal flow and minimal wait times
- Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and gather necessary documentation
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
- Coordinate communication between patients and healthcare providers regarding treatment plans or follow-up care
- Ensure compliance with medical terminology standards and confidentiality regulations in handling sensitive records
Requirements
- Prior experience in a medical office setting or healthcare environment preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems for scheduling, documentation, and billing purposes
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
- Ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with diverse patient populations
- Knowledge of medical billing and collections processes to support revenue cycle management
- Familiarity with medical office procedures and compliance standards is highly desirable
