General Summary
La Jolla Group is seeking a Web Operations Assistant Manager to support and enhance our digital commerce ecosystem across multiple Shopify Plus 2.0 brand sites. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment—driving site optimization, conversion testing, and operational excellence.
You’ll collaborate across Web Ops, Merchandising, Creative, and Marketing teams to deliver best-in-class online experiences that are fast, stable, and built to convert. Essential Job Functions
- Web Operations & Site Management
- Oversee daily operations for multiple Shopify Plus storefronts, ensuring uptime, speed, and flawless checkout performance.
- Manage updates, launches, and campaigns across sites—conducting QA across devices and browsers.
- Partner with developers and vendors on new features, app integrations, and theme upgrades.
- Support 3rd-party marketplaces (e.g., Amazon) with listing optimization and inventory management.
- Conduct site audits (links, speed, accessibility, tagging) and document findings with actionable recommendations.
Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)
- Lead CRO initiatives in partnership with WebOps and Merchandising, from test ideation through implementation and analysis.
- Execute A/B and multivariate testing using tools like VWO, Hotjar, or Microsoft Clarity.
- Identify friction points in the customer journey and translate insights into actionable improvements.
- Maintain documentation of test results and apply learnings across brands.
UX & Site Experience
- Ensure all digital experiences align with brand identity, SEO best practices, and accessibility standards.
- Collaborate with Merchandising and Creative teams on navigation, filtering, and product page optimization.
- Partner with Retention teams to align landing pages and campaign destinations for maximum conversion.
Analytics & Reporting
- Track key performance metrics (CVR, AOV, bounce rate, load speed, etc.) and share weekly dashboards and quarterly insights.
- Manage tagging and data accuracy across GA4, GTM, Meta, TikTok, and affiliate platforms.
Project & Vendor Coordination
- Serve as liaison between internal teams and external developers to maintain timelines and resolve issues quickly.
- Maintain deployment calendars and coordinate multi-brand releases and migrations.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong understanding of Shopify Liquid, theme architecture, and front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JS).
- Skilled in CRO tools (VWO, Google Optimize, Hotjar) and analytics platforms (GA4, Looker Studio).
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into growth strategies.
- Excellent communicator with cross-functional collaboration and project management expertise.
- Highly detail-oriented, organized, and process-driven with strong QA discipline.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Digital Marketing, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in Shopify Plus eCommerce operations and CRO optimization, ideally for apparel or lifestyle brands.
- Experience contributing to or managing CRO roadmaps for Shopify Plus brands preferred.
