Role Description This full-time Medical Malpractice Defense Attorney role is a hybrid position based in Glendale, CA, with flexibility for some work from home. The attorney will manage a caseload of medical malpractice defense matters from inception through resolution, including investigation, legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, and preparing discovery responses. Day-to-day responsibilities include advising healthcare providers and institutions on liability exposure, conducting and defending depositions, engaging in settlement negotiations, and representing clients at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials. The role involves close collaboration with clients, colleagues, experts, and support staff to develop case strategies, evaluate risk, and ensure timely and effective case management. The attorney will also stay current on relevant case law, statutes, and regulations affecting medical malpractice and related areas of civil litigation.

Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Law and demonstrated experience in civil litigation, preferably medical malpractice defense.
- Ability to provide clear, practical Legal Advice to healthcare clients and institutional stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Research, including case law, statutes, regulations, and medical records analysis.
- Effective Negotiation skills for mediations, settlement discussions, and dispute resolution.
- Active California bar license in good standing.
- Prior trial experience or significant motion and discovery practice; experience with expert witnesses is highly beneficial.
- Excellent written and oral advocacy skills, including drafting motions, briefs, and correspondence.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines.
- Commitment to professionalism, ethics, and collaborative work within a litigation team.
