Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment.
• Handle chemical agents safely while performing sanitation tasks, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures
• Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling tasks to move furniture, supplies, or equipment in accordance with safe lifting practices
• Maintain cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal throughout the facility
• Assist with custodial responsibilities including window washing, carpet cleaning, and light maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting when needed
• Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries
• Support facilities maintenance by reporting any damages or safety hazards promptly

Skills

• Knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care, buffing, and sanitation procedures
• Ability to handle cleaning equipment effectively and safely operate tools like floor buffers and scrubbers
• Familiarity with chemical agent handling safety procedures to ensure safe use of cleaning products
• Excellent manual handling skills with an understanding of safe lifting practices for heavy objects
