About the Role
We’re seeking a dependable, skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to support six gym locations throughout the Rochester area. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, takes initiative, and can independently manage a daily route. You’ll use your own vehicle to travel between sites, and mileage reimbursement is provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance across all gym locations
- Troubleshoot and repair building systems and facility components
- Complete plumbing tasks such as fixing leaks, replacing fixtures, and clearing drains
- Handle basic electrical work including lighting repairs, outlet replacements, and minor wiring tasks
- Assist with HVAC-related maintenance and issues
- Perform drywall patching, painting, and general cosmetic repairs
- Safely use ladders, lifts, and other equipment to access elevated work areas
- Order parts and supplies through the company’s internal system and track inventory
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and site visits
- Support small renovation projects and other maintenance tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Experience in facilities, building maintenance, or a related trade
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building repair
- Ability to lift, move, and work with tools and equipment
- Comfortable using ladders, lifts, and power tools
- Reliable personal vehicle suitable for transporting tools and supplies
- Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
- Strong communication, organization, and time‑management skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks across multiple locations
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with maintenance work‑order or inventory systems
- Basic carpentry or general construction skills
