JOB REQUIREMENTS: The City of La Crosse is accepting applications for a
full-time Maintenance Worker to become an essential member of the Street
Department team. The Street Department is responsible for the
maintenance and repair of streets, snow removal, and oversees the refuse
and recycling program. The individual in this position will work with a
dedicated team of employees whose actions improve the lives of the
citizens of La Crosse daily. The purpose of this position is to replace
and maintain streets, and remove snow, within the City of La Crosse.
Incumbents perform manual labor such as working on a concrete crew
and/or asphalt crew and operate a variety of equipment used in street
maintenance such as trucks, snow removal equipment and hand and power
tools. The work is performed under the supervision of a lead worker or
supervisor. \*\*\*\*\* OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent, one to two years light
equipment operating experience, or any combination of education and

valid class B commercial driver\'s license (CDL) with airbrake and
tanker endorsement required or ability to successfully obtain commercial
