JOB REQUIREMENTS: The City of La Crosse is seeking to hire a temporary
Clerical Assistant in the Engineering Department. It is the
responsibility of the Engineering Department to oversee the Capital
Improvement Projects (CIP), private permitting, and public right of way
code enforcement. This position will work with permitting and entering
information for next year\'s CIP process. This temporary position will
work 40 hours per week. Standard office hours are Monday through Friday
8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Scheduled hours may vary. Starting wage is
\$15.00 per hour. Position to start 10/10/2025 and work through the end
of the year. Position is limited term and does not acquire benefits.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities Data Collection/entry Answer Phone
Light cleaning Minimum Training and Experience Required to Perform
Essential Job Functions High school diploma or equivalent Valid motor
vehicle operator\'s license required Physical and Mental Abilities
Required To Perform Essential Job Functions Proficient In Computer
applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Comfortable using
standard office equipment such as printers, scanners and phone Ability
to communicate effectively with department personnel and general public
Motivated, responsible, and have excellent time management skills
Ability to work with and assist a wide variety of personalities
