Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, assembling, and plating dishes according to safety standards and recipes
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, utensils, and equipment through regular cleaning and sanitizing
- Support food running duties by delivering orders promptly from the kitchen to dining areas while ensuring accuracy
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and adhering to food safety regulations
- Assist with bussing tables, clearing dishes, and resetting tables efficiently to maintain a clean dining environment
- Support heavy lifting tasks using safe lifting practices when moving supplies or equipment around the kitchen
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing when required during service
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with safe practices in place
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and serve guests courteously
- Experience with kitchen tasks such as cooking, food preparation, or banquet service is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and guest satisfaction
