SUMMARY:
The Hotel Painter is an experienced professional who is detailed oriented. This role will be responsible for maintaining the exceptional aesthetic standards that our discerning guests expect, ensuring all painted surfaces throughout the hotel remain pristine. The Hotel Painter will take pride in their craftsmanship and understand that every surface they paint contributes to creating memorable experiences for our guests. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute interior and exterior painting projects throughout guest rooms, suites, public areas, restaurants, and hotel facilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting including sanding, scraping, filling holes, and priming as needed
- Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment
- Perform color matching and touch-up work to maintain consistent appearance across all areas
- Collaborate with housekeeping and front office teams to minimize guest disruption during painting projects
- Maintain painting equipment and tools in excellent working condition
- Conduct regular inspections of painted surfaces and proactively address maintenance needs
- Work with maintenance team on special projects and renovations
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Assist with wallpaper installation and removal when required
- Document completed work and maintain accurate records of materials used
- Adhere to all OSHA and local safety requirements
- Performs other duties as assigned by manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
- (2/3) years of hotel/maintenance engineering, with luxury hotel/resort strongly preferred
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized and non-standardized situations
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals
- Should have good interpersonal skills
- Must speak and communicate in English
- Must have a desire for learning and personal growth
- Must be able to work independently
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and kneel for long periods of time
- Certifications in electrical/HVAC systems a plus
- Must meet legal age requirements for the position
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Must have high school diploma or equal to a GED
- Must provide valid document(s) to work in the US
