SUMMARY:
The Night Auditor is a professional who thrives in the unique overnight environment, where independent problem-solving meets the standards of luxury hospitality. This role is responsible for performing the dual function of providing attentive service to our nocturnal guests while managing complex night audit processes. By delivering impeccable service, the Night Auditor will uphold La Bahia Hotel & Spa’s service standards (inspired by Forbes) while elevating our beachfront property.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITY:
- Provide polished, attentive service to all overnight guests with professionalism
- Handle late arrivals, early departures, and night guest requests with luxury-level care
- Resolve overnight guest concerns with immediate and effective solutions
- Maintain complete knowledge of all hotel services, room types, and emergency procedures
- Execute full night audit process including: balancing all hotel departments' financial transactions; verifying room rates and charges; posting room and tax charges; generating daily financial reports
- Identify and resolve any discrepancies in accounts
- Prepare and distribute daily operational reports to management
- Monitor property security systems throughout shift
- Conduct periodic overnight property walks
- Enforce hotel security protocols
- Serve as first responder for overnight emergencies
- Complete end-of-day financial closing with 100% accuracy
- Process no-show reservations and update housekeeping status
- Prepare morning reports for management review
- Maintain thorough shift logs and communication records
- Uphold all service standards during overnight operations
- Maintain impeccable grooming standards, wearing the assigned uniform exactly as specified (proper fit, cleanliness, and presentation at all times
- Wear the official hotel lapel pin prominently as part of the uniform requirement, unless embroidered onto uniform
- Perform all other duties that may be assigned as needed by your manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
- (2/3) years or more minimum experience in Front Desk/Night Auditor role in a luxury hotel and/or resort.
- Ability to work overnight shifts (11pm-7am or similar schedule), weekends, and holidays
- Capability to stay alert and focused throughout the night
- Ability to work independently
- Endurance to stand for long periods and walk moderate distances
- Cash handling and basic accounting skills required
- Proficiency in property management systems preferred (Microsoft Office, Opera, Alice, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills and customer service skills
- Fluent in English (additional languages highly preferred)
- Ability to maintain composed under pressure
- Occasional light lifting (up to 25 lbs)
- Highly organized with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
