Responsibilities

• Follow all safety regulations and standards regarding size, weight, and break periods.
• Responsible for receiving cargo, parking in appropriate docks, tracking mileage, documenting schedules, inventory deliver confirmation, and manifests.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections prior to operating vehicle.
• Perform end of day operation inspection, to include fueling and cleaning vehicle.
• Report on any mechanical issues to manager.
• Plan routes to ensure delivery schedules and arrivals are met on time.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Able to operate a forklift.
• Able to build positive business relationships with customers.
• Able to maintain electronic logging devices (ELD).
• Ensure cargo is loaded, unloaded, and secured properly and safely.
• All other skilled and non-skilled duties assigned by manager and/or supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned by Operations Manager
  
  

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent with two (2) years of professional driving experience.
• Clean driving record.
• Experienced with electronic logging devices (ELD).
• Able to operate 1-ton, 10-ton, 12-ton trucks and standard manual transmission.
• Class B CDL with air brake endorsement.
• Current DOT Medical Card
• Basic Computer Skills
• Shipping/Receiving experience
• Must be willing to work overtime, weekdays, and weekends to meet customer service requirements.
  
  

Physical Demands

• The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to 75 pounds.
• Grasping, pushing, pulling, tightening, adjusting, and fine manipulation of different size objects.
• Able to work nights, weekends, extended hours, and holidays as needed.
• Able to wear all required PPE.
