Duties
- Assist skilled tradespeople such as carpenters, masons, electricians, and plumbers in daily tasks to ensure smooth workflow
- Prepare construction sites by unloading materials, setting up scaffolding, and organizing tools and supplies
- Perform physical tasks including digging trenches, mixing concrete, and moving materials around the site
- Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a safe working environment for all team members
- Operate basic construction equipment under supervision and report any malfunctions or hazards promptly
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area by removing debris and ensuring tools are stored properly after use
- Support the installation of structural components by measuring, cutting, and assembling materials as directed
- Assist in inspecting work sites for quality control and compliance with project specifications
Experience
- Prior experience in construction or related manual labor roles is preferred but not required; we value eagerness to learn and a strong work ethic
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks consistently throughout the workday
- Familiarity with basic construction tools and equipment is advantageous
- Knowledge of safety procedures and OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards is a plus
- Strong teamwork skills with excellent communication abilities
