Position Summary
The Line Cook / Prep Cook is responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking menu items, and supporting the daily kitchen operations. This position helps maintain food quality, cleanliness, and efficiency while ensuring a safe and organized work environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and portion ingredients for daily service.
- Cook menu items using grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipment.
- Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation standards.
- Wash dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Keep kitchen workstations clean, organized, and sanitized.
- Restock food, supplies, and ingredients as needed.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines.
- Assist with opening, closing, and other kitchen duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and frequently lift and carry 50 pounds or more.
- Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is preferred but not required.
