Job Overview:
- We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as a Live-In Direct Care Staff, to provide care and supervision for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), who live in our residential homes located in Tustin and Orange, CA.

Prior experience as a Direct Support Professional, Caregiver, Home Care Aide, Direct Care Staff, Job Coach, Teachers Aide, Hospice Aide or any similar experience caring for your own loved one would be ideal.

Our Adults with IDD are not viewed as clients, patients, or recipients of services, but rather they are friends, teachers, companions, and are referred to as Core Members within the community.

Shifts Available:
- We are looking for a Live-In Direct Care Staff that can live on site full time in a private room and work daytime awake hours 4-5 days per week and be available to respond to emergencies overnight while you are sleeping for 4 -5 nights per week, if there is a knock on your door for a tummy ache, bad dream or other emergency.

Compensation:
- Pay is a combination of both an hourly rate as W-2 wages for day hours worked, plus free food and lodging, with your own private bedroom 7 days a week as housing accommodations for the overnight asleep emergency availability 4-5 days per week. An additional housing incentive bonus is earned and saved for you to assist when you eventually move back out to help you secure your own new housing.

Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to Core Members through meeting personal care needs, including maintaining daily routines, performing cooking and cleaning together, managing medication, attending doctor appointments and ensuring their overall safety and well-being.

- Administrative duties include updating daily house notes, making Core Member chart entries, occasional grocery purchases, making and following up on medical appointments and assisting in the physical preparation of the facility and documents for State inspections and evaluations.

-Support Core Members in the development and maintenance of their relationships with housemates, Core Members' families, community members, and friends outside.

- Encourage healthy lifestyles, driving Core Members to events, planning fun activities, and fostering a spiritually fulfilling and relationship-oriented lifestyle.

Minimum Qualifications:

- At least 21 years old with a GED / High School Diploma.

- A valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.

- Ability to pass a criminal record/Department of Justice background check (LiveScan).

- Ability to pass basic pre-employment physical and have negative TB test.

Preferred Experience/Trainings:

- Basic understanding of the fundamentals of caregiving (Prior experience as a Direct Support Professional, Caregiver, Home Care Aide, Direct Care Staff, Job Coach, Teachers Aid or similar experience caring for your own loved one would be ideal.prior caregiving experience as either a Direct Care Staff, Home Caregiver, Home Care Aide, Job Coach, Teachers Aide or personal care for a family member would be great.)

-CPR & First Aid (or complete within the first week of hire

- Interviews will be conducted in person in the City of Orange or Tustin California, so you will need to be somewhere in Southern California to be able to go through that process. We are unable to offer any relocation assistance at this time.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.90 - $20.00 per hour
