Role Description
This is an on-site, full-time role as a Companion Assistant based in Haverhill, MA. The Companion Assistant will provide day-to-day support to adults with intellectual disabilities, ensuring their physical safety, well-being, and engagement in meaningful activities. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living tasks, medication administration, meal preparation, and promoting social inclusion within the local community. The role emphasizes fostering an environment of respect, dignity, and mutual growth.
Qualifications
- Experience or aptitude in caregiving, supporting individuals with disabilities, and fostering an inclusive environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for relationship-building and community engagement
- Basic competency in meal preparation and household management
- Ability to follow care plans, administer medications, and ensure personal safety for individuals
- Flexibility, patience, and a compassionate nature
- Valid driver's license
- High school diploma or GED a plus
- Able to pass a Background (CORI) check and Fingerprint
