Senior Product DesignerYears Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience Senior Product Designer43802 70.00 an hour w2 contract 5 PTO daysAs a Senior Product Designer, you’ll take the lead in shaping key products and features from the ground up — defining how they work, look, and feel. You will be working with both Web and Mobile applications. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to turn complex human needs into clear, intuitive digital experiences. This is a hands-on role: you'll sketch, prototype, test, and refine designs, ensuring that every experience is not only intuitive but also deeply human-centered.Key Responsibilities:• Interaction Design – Analyze business requirements and user needs to create user flows and task flow diagrams. Translate your ideas into wireframes and prototypes for stakeholder and user feedback.• Visual Design – Create beautiful mock-ups of visual designs consistent with UI guidelines and Abbott’s brand standards.• Design System –Utilize the company’s design system to create new templates and user flows, working closely with the engineering team.• Collaboration – Closely work with product managers and user researchers to understand customer needs and make informed design decisions. Negotiate technical feasibility of your designs with engineering and support agile teams in developing high-quality user interfaces.Required Qualifications• Bachelor’s Degree in Design / Human Factors or related field, with a minimum of 3 years relevant work experience but prefer closer to 6 years of experience.• A sophisticated design sensibility with a refined eye for UI patterns, visual hierarchy, and strong visual execution — including layout, typography, color, and micro interactions.• Experience in creating, evolving, and maintaining design systems to ensure a cohesive and scalable visual language across all product surfaces and platforms.• A robust portfolio showcasing recent work, especially consumer products, with clear evidence of the impact of design decisions.• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite.• Ability to translate business goals and audience needs into impactful designs, from concept to final execution.• Strong prototyping and animation skills across different levels of fidelity.• Passion for crafting engaging, intuitive, and visually appealing experiences, with a clear vision for how designs should look and behave.• Expertise in usability and accessibility, ensuring inclusive and functional design for all users.• Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of effectively articulating design rationale to diverse stakeholders.• Strong communication skills, capable of working effectively across different teams and disciplines.MUST Provide a Portfolio link with resume and if password protected, please provide the password.Spotlight notes:Requirements/Responsibilities – ADC Division· Designers will work on a portfolio of mobile apps for healthcare/patients in the diabetes space.· Two contract roles:o One focused on product design.o Second emphasizes data visualization.Core Responsibilities:· Lead design for web and mobile applications, creating intuitive, human-centered experiences.· Design user flows, wireframes, and prototypes.· Create visually appealing mockups aligned with brand standards.· Work within and contribute to the design system.· Collaborate with product managers, researchers, and engineers to ensure feasibility and quality.Portfolio Requirement:· Must include a portfolio link with resume (include password if applicable).· Submissions without a portfolio will be rejected.· Portfolios that are only school projects, lack native mobile experience, or are just galleries without storytelling will not be considered.Technical & Design Skills:· Strong interaction and visual design skills across platforms (not limited to websites).· Ability to design hybrid experiences (iOS and Android).· Experience creating and maintaining design systems.· Attention to detail and ability to create components within existing design frameworks.· Prototyping and animation skills (high fidelity for one role).· Fluent in Figma; proficiency in Sketch and Adobe Suite.Preferred Experience:· Consumer product design experience (must-have).· Start-up experience (desired).· Healthcare experience (nice-to-have, not sufficient alone).· AI experience (ideal).· Customer service experience (ideal).Education & Qualifications:· Bachelor’s in Design/Human Factors or related field.· 3–6 years of experience (closer to 6 preferred).· Strong UI/UX skills, accessibility, usability expertise.· Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills.Company DescriptionFounded in 1998 and headquartered in Farmington Hills, MI, Kyyba has a global presence delivering high-quality resources and top-notch recruiting services, enabling businesses to effectively respond to organizational changes and technological advances.At Kyyba, the overall well-being of our employees and their families is important to us.
