About the Role:
Multiple Locations: Jackson, TN; Georgetown, KY; Buffalo, WV Onsite
We are seeking a motivated Engineer to support end-to-end plant and manufacturing setup within our Powertrain operations. This role is responsible for developing machine plans, defining specifications, and leading installation and launch activities. You will play a critical role in transitioning projects from concept through operational handover.
What You’ll Do
- Develop operating process plans for machining and assembly within the Powertrain department
- Lead planning, procurement, installation, trial runs, and launch of engine/transmission machining or assembly lines
- Manage plant definition, installation activities, and handover to operations teams
- Create and maintain project schedules and budgets for assigned areas
- Develop and improve standard tools, processes, and performance benchmarks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across local facilities and corporate departments
- Visualize project plans and schedules to drive alignment and prioritize initiatives
- Analyze manufacturing issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
Qualifications (Must-Have)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing preferred)
- 1–5 years of hands-on experience in project or process management
- Experience in process engineering, including schedule and budget management
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (ability to read, interpret, and modify drawings)
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and plant shutdown periods as needed
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally (up to 20%)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with 3D CAD tools and interpretation of technical drawings
- Background in production engineering or machine installation planning
