Basic Function
Assembling tools, sub-assemblies, kits and ensuring that all parts and
components are assembled correctly and on time.
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe working environment.
- Under the supervisor's direction, assemble tools, sub-assemblies, and kits according to the standardized worksheets.
- Testing, troubleshooting, and reporting potential problems of product.
- Communicate trends or repeated quality issues.
- Prepare and complete source documents for labor and inventory transactions.
- Follow step-by-step instructions to complete department tasks promptly.
- Complete any other job responsibilities.
- Have flexibility to work in all Tool Department areas.
- Able to effectively communicate with co-workers, product managers, engineers, and quality technicians.
- Use of lift and hand trucks; training provided if needed.
- Must be able to work well in a team environment.
- Must be able to read and write.
- Must have a High School Diploma or the equivalent.
- Must be able to stand for 100%, lift 75%, and bend 50% of your entire shift.
- Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Must be able to obtain daily production quota.
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and presses daily.
- Must be able to use both hands to maneuver and assemble small parts and tools.
- Must have at least one year of experience in an assembly line environment.
- Must have at least one year of mechanical experience.
- Must be able to follow standardized worksheets.
- Must be able to stay on task with minimum supervision.
- Depending on the company's needs, you must be able to work overtime and weekends when asked.
- Requires a high degree of mental concentration.
- Requires a high level of attention to detail.
