Basic Function: Distribution Dock Attendant includes performing various shipping role. Work within our distribution area to ensure orders are audited, wrapped, and loaded correctly with all required documentation.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Wrap customer orders using an automated pallet wrapper.
- Work with distribution auditors to ensure product is loaded on correct trailers.
- Ensure customer paperwork is correct before it ships.
- Ensure all orders have the correct packing slips and labels applied.
- Correctly load wrapped pallets in the correct carriers’ trailers
- Operate a forklift to load and unload trailers.
- Do other duties as assigned.
- Mental and visual concentration must be maintained while on the floor.
- Has average manual dexterity.
- 1 years of experience of working in a similar role/environment is preferred.
- A high school diploma/ GED is preferred but not required.
- 1 year of forklift experience.
- Ability to multi-task required.
- Ability to work with others including other distribution employees and order management team.
- Detail oriented, is able to keep accurate and organized shipping documents.
- Must obtain a forklift license to operate powered and non-powered material handling equipment.
- Must be able to pass our forklift certification/recertification course.
- 100% of the time, must be able to lift, stoop, bend, walk, pull, and carry /- 75 pounds.
- Must be comfortable working in an environment where there is possible exposure to lost-time accidents, including but not limited to the hands, arms, feet, or back.
- 75% of the time spent standing throughout the shift.
- Must be comfortable working in a non-temperature controlled environment.
- Must have proficient math skills and be able to read, write, add, and subtract.
