The Warehouse Assistant will prepare orders for shipment by reading a pick list, gathering orders, adding strapping and stretch wrap, and providing documentation according to customer specifications. Assist in inventory counts and warehouse organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate shipment of outgoing goods including the handling of proper documentation and shipment tracing.
- Prepare bills of lading for outbound shipment and contacting motor carries for pickup.
- Consolidate outbound shipments to customers.
- Ensure the warehouse is accessible and safe.
- Receive, track, and distribute materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Understand and follow safety procedures.
- Receive, stock, and deliver goods.
- Assist in counting physical inventory.
- Drive a fork truck and obtain certification for safe operation.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Efficient time management skills.
- High attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Ability to wear required protective equipment and devices.
- Ability to operate a fork truck and other material handling equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least one year of warehouse-related experience required.
- Prior experience in the manufacturing industry
- Have current DOT Hazmat Shipper Certification or ability to pass Kymera sponsored certification.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use their hands to finger, handle, or feel.
- Employee must be able to reach with hands and arms.
- The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, and frequently lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
