Position Summary:

This role ensures timely and cost-effective movement of materials and finished goods while maintaining compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and proper documentation.
- Work closely with production, purchasing, and warehousing teams to align logistics schedules with manufacturing needs.
- Communicate with carriers, freight forwarders, and suppliers to manage transportation logistics and resolve delivery issues.
- Track shipments and update internal systems with delivery statuses and inventory movements.
- Monitor inventory levels and work with supply chain teams to minimize excess stock and avoid shortages.
- Maintain accurate records of shipping and receiving transactions, inventory counts, and logistics KPIs.
- Prepare shipping documents such as bills of lading, customs declarations, and packing lists.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, quality, and regulatory standards (e.g., DOT, OSHA, etc.).
- Identify opportunities to optimize logistics processes, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
- Support physical inventory counts and cycle counting activities.
- Collaborate with Finance and Accounting for invoice reconciliation and freight charge verifications.
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred.
- 2 years of experience in logistics, shipping/receiving, or supply chain in a manufacturing environment.
- DOT Hazmat Shipper Certification & RCRA training preferred or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of employment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP or WMS systems required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of freight and transportation regulations and documentation.
- Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- May be required to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Work is performed in an office and warehouse/manufacturing setting.
- Warehouse environment with exposure to noise, heavy equipment, and varying temperatures.
- Regularly required to lift heavy objects, operate machinery, and stand for extended periods.
- May involve overtime and weekend shifts, depending on workload.
