Responsibilities
Housekeeping & Venue Care:
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms and public spaces (lobbies, hallways, restrooms), including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and trash removal.
- Safely handle cleaning agents and equipment according to Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and sanitation protocols.
- Support the physical setup and breakdown of banquet and event spaces, including moving tables, chairs, and staging.
Event & Banquet Serving:
- Food & Beverage Service: Serve plated meals, pass hors d'oeuvres, and maintain buffet/beverage stations according to event standards.
- Table Maintenance: Clear dishes, glassware, and flatware promptly between courses and post-meal; refresh water glasses and table settings.
- Guest Hospitality: Greet guests warmly, answer basic event or menu inquiries, and respond quickly to special requests or dietary needs.
- Side Work & Prep: Assist with pre-event setup (rolling silverware, setting tables) and post-event cleanup (clearing linens, trash, and breakdown).
Experience & Requirements
- Experience: Prior experience in housekeeping, custodial work, or food/beverage service (serving, bussing, catering) is preferred, but a positive attitude and strong work ethic go a long way!
- Server Essentials: Basic knowledge of food safety handling, table service etiquette, and the ability to carry serving trays (often up to 25–30 lbs) steadily.
- Physical & Safety Standards: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform heavy lifting throughout shifts. Familiarity with SDS procedures and basic equipment safety is a plus.
