Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Lube Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes and vehicle inspections, ensuring that all work is completed efficiently and to the highest standards. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment for extended periods of time. You will also be filling a "flex" roll, which has responsibilities on the maintenance side and the mechanical repair side of the shop. There will be times when your skills are needed on repairs or services more complex than simple maintenance items.
Duties
- Perform oil changes and other routine vehicle maintenance services
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify any potential issues
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Provide tire services, including installation, rotation, and balancing
- Assist customers with inquiries and provide recommendations based on their vehicle needs
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to meet service goals and customer satisfaction
- Run simple diagnostics from rode and smoke tests to running DTC's, etc.
- Carry out simple to moderately complex mechanical repairs that range from spark plugs and alignments, to suspension repair/replacements.
Experience
- Previous experience in automotive service or repair is required
- Familiarity with vehicle maintenance procedures, including oil changes and tire services
- Ability to lift heavy objects as required for the role
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients
- Experience using hand tools and power tools in an automotive setting is a plus
- Sales experience is beneficial for upselling additional services
