Production and Facilities Maintenance Coordinator

Job Description: The Facilities Maintenance Coordinator performs a variety of repair and preventative maintenance to facilities and manufacturing equipment. This position operates under the direction of the Facilities Manager and includes oversight and scheduling of work done by supporting staff and outside vendors.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Troubleshoot a variety of facilities systems and manufacturing equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs to facilities and manufacturing equipment
• Manage maintenance and repair scheduling using computerized maintenance management software (CMMS) to ensure minimal downtime and high efficiency of daily operations
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of maintenance and repair work
• Coordinate work with department leads to minimize disruption to daily operations
• Ensure facilities are safe from fire, flood, and other preventable hazards
• Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations
• Execute proposal, evaluation, and award process for outside services and equipment purchases.
• Schedule and oversee work of outside service providers
• Monitor and order parts, tools, and materials for maintenance work
• Ensure grounds and buildings are kept up to company standards of cleanliness and repair
• Clear snow from parking lot and sidewalks using company provided equipment
• Oversee work of assistant(s) as needed
• Perform other duties as requested

Physical Demands:

• Ability to maintain a high level of frequency in physical activities such as reaching, standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, kneeling, and crouching
• Ability to work outside at any time of year

Requirements:

• Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems
• Working knowledge of metal fabrication machinery
• Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Ability to safely use basic hand and power tools
• 3 years’ minimum experience in facilities and equipment maintenance and repair
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Ability to use and maintain records in computerized maintenance management software (CMMS) such as Upkeep
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize work, and stay organized
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively engage internal and external stakeholders
• Demonstrate a proactive, team-oriented mindset with a willingness to go above and beyond to support operational success
• Efficiently produce quality work in all aspects of responsibilities
• Ability to respond to off-hour emergencies and snow removal needs

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
