Position Summary
The Hospital Admissions Coordinator is an entry-level, fast-paced role designed for individuals passionate about supporting vulnerable populations. This position manages incoming calls, coordinates referrals into available hospital beds, and ensures individuals are placed in the appropriate level of care.
You will work closely with referral partners, guardians, and individuals in crisis—requiring strong communication, organization, and decision-making skills. This role demands the ability to multitask across multiple systems while maintaining composure and delivering trauma-informed, customer-focused service.

Schedule & Work Location
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:30 PM – 11:30 PM
Training: 100% in person for a minimum of two weeks
Work Setup: Fully remote after successful completion of training
Minimum Requirements
Must be at least 20 years of age
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred (Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, etc.)
Minimum of two years of relevant experience may substitute for degree
Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with vulnerable, at-risk, or underserved populations
Background in hospital admissions, intake coordination, or crisis response
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and cloud-based systems
Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
Strong multitasking and time management skills
Ability to work independently and problem-solve in a remote setting
Experience with trauma-informed care and crisis de-escalation
Key Responsibilities
Manage high-volume incoming calls and coordinate hospital admissions and referrals
Assess eligibility and facilitate placement into open beds or appropriate levels of care
Provide trauma-informed support and de-escalate callers in crisis
Communicate effectively with referral partners, guardians, and internal teams
Accurately collect, document, and enter data into EHR and internal systems
Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient and family information
Navigate multiple systems simultaneously to ensure efficient workflow
Collaborate with internal teams to support timely admissions and care coordination
Maintain professionalism and composure in high-stress situations
Support compliance, audits, and adherence to policies and procedures
Participate in ongoing training, staff meetings, and performance improvement initiatives
