The Senior EHS Specialist is responsible for supporting the implementation of advanced environmental, health, and safety management systems. This role focuses on high-level regulatory compliance, complex risk assessments, and the mentorship of junior team members. The incumbent will lead cross-functional safety initiatives, manage critical environmental programs, and act as a subject matter expert to ensure operational excellence and a proactive safety culture effective across all assigned locations.
- Serve as a centralized EHS resource to provide consistent guidance and oversight for multiple manufacturing locations.
- Standardize safety policies, SOPs, and training programs to ensure uniformity in safety culture and compliance across all company facilities.
- Coordinate and lead cross-site audits to identify potential risks and share best practices between locations.
- Oversee complex environmental programs, including air permitting, hazardous waste management, and stormwater protection for all assigned sites.
- Manage and coordinate regulatory inspections and communications with EPA, OSHA, and state/local agencies across all operational jurisdictions.
- Provide mentorship and functional guidance to site-level safety leads.
- Lead high-level incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for serious incidents across multiple sites.
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance leadership at each facility to drive continuous improvement in safety and environmental metrics.
- Travel required up to 30% as needed

- A bachelor’s degree in environmental science, occupational health & safety, engineering, chemistry, biology, or a related field is commonly required.
- 3-6 year management, or supervisory experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Experience supporting chemical manufacturing, coating, converting, printing, or industrial process operations preferred.
- Knowledge of hazardous chemicals, solvent handling, wastewater systems, and industrial ventilation systems is a plus.
