About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Construction Superintendent to lead and execute high-end custom residential and light commercial projects in Poulsbo, WA. The ideal candidate will oversee all onsite operations, manage subcontractors and trades, ensure stellar craftsmanship, uphold sustainable building practices, and serve as the owner s on-site representative from foundation through finish.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead daily on-site operations, coordinating with project managers, architects, and design professionals
Manage and supervise subcontractors, trades, and crew schedules to maintain productivity and quality
Enforce quality standards and craftsmanship expectations, ensuring consistency with design vision
Monitor project progress against schedule, identify bottlenecks, and drive solutions to keep the project on track
Ensure compliance with safety protocols, building codes, and sustainable construction practices
Perform site inspections, quality control checks, and snag resolution
Collaborate with procurement to anticipate material deliveries, schedule impacts, and mitigate delays
Serve as the primary point of contact on site for clients, architects, and design teams maintain transparency and client relationships
Track and control costs, change orders, job site budgets, and daily reporting
Foster positive team culture and resolve conflicts among crews or subcontractors
Document progress, maintain construction logs, communicate updates, and escalate risks proactively
Support sustainable or green building initiatives and maintain high standards of materials and finishes
Proven experience as a Superintendent, preferably in custom residential or light commercial construction
Deep understanding of building systems, materials, finishes, and high-end detailing
Strong leadership and communication skills ability to coordinate teams, communicate with clients, architects, vendors
Excellent problem-solving mindset anticipate issues, propose fixes, stay flexible when plan changes occur
Experience managing schedules, budgets, cost control, and subcontractor performance
Familiarity with safety standards, building codes, inspections, and quality assurance
Ability to read blueprints, architectural and structural drawings, detail documents
Comfort working with design-forward clients, collaborating with designers and architects
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple projects or phases
Valid driver s license and willingness to travel between job sites
Experience with sustainable building practices or green certifications
History working on award-winning or architect-driven projects
Strong relationships with subcontractors and trade networks
Proficiency with construction management or project software
Experience in client-facing roles and in managing design changes midstream
