Position Overview
Kuri Products is seeking a Technical Sales Manager/Director to lead commercial growth, drive customer success, and help educate internal teams on the cosmetic raw material business. This role is ideal for a proactive, technically curious commercial professional who enjoys both strategy and hands-on execution. Reporting directly to the Vice President, this role will work closely with the CEO & Founder, offering exposure to executive decision-making and cross-functional innovation. You will act as the technical-commercial bridge, translating raw material performance into compelling customer value.
This is a hybrid role with flexibility to work remotely while supporting onsite activities as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Leadership
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand market presence and revenue
- Build and manage relationships with brands, manufacturers, and formulation teams
- Identify new opportunities and emerging categories aligned with Kuri’s innovation strategy
- Drive lead qualification, pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM ownership
Technical Support & Customer Success
- Understand ingredient technologies, benefits, formulation compatibility, and regulatory basics
- Provide technical guidance, product positioning, and formulation insights to customers
- Collaborate with suppliers to scale market awareness and launch new materials
- Support customer sampling, trials, presentations, and troubleshooting
Education & Internal Enablement
- Teach and guide internal team members on commercial process and technical knowledge
- Help develop sales materials, technical presentations, case studies, and training tools
- Contribute to marketing campaigns, trade-show execution, and brand storytelling
Strategic and Operational Contributions
- Participate in supplier meetings, technical trainings, and ongoing product education
- Support pricing, agreements, and commercial operations
- Provide market feedback to influence portfolio and innovation direction
- Wear many hats, helping wherever needed to accelerate company growth
Qualifications
Experience
- 3–10 years in cosmetic raw material sales, beauty B2B, commercial technical support, or related field
- Strong existing relationships with formulators, brands, and/or manufacturers preferred
- Experience working in a startup or entrepreneurial environment is highly valued
Education
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Cosmetic Science, or Business
- Additional formulation, regulatory, or technical training is a plus
