About the Role
Kung Fu Tea is looking for a Social Media Intern to join our Marketing Team. Working closely with our Brand Strategist and Marketing Lead, you'll support the planning and execution of content creation and influencer campaigns. This role offers hands-on experience across social media and content creation, including partnerships, community engagement, and trend research.
Throughout the internship, you'll see how social media functions within the larger Marketing Team and the wider organization, and you'll learn how social efforts connect to broader business and brand goals.
What You'll Do
- Assist in sourcing, coordinating, and managing influencer and creator partnerships
- Track deliverables, timelines, and campaign details
- Support influencer UGC collection and organization
- Help create and curate content for Kung Fu Tea and brand social channels
- Support content planning, uploads, tagging, and asset organization
- Brainstorm and execute social-first content ideas
- Monitor and respond to comments, DMs, and mentions across platforms
- Engage with fans and franchisees through reshares, replies, and community engagement
- Act as the "eyes and ears" of the brand by surfacing audience feedback and sentiment
- Identify trending audios, meme formats, and content styles aligned with our brand voice
- Spot viral moments, creator campaigns, and emerging platform trends to test
- Support weekly social trend recap decks and brainstorm sessions
- Highlight insights and patterns from community engagement and audience behavior
- Assist the Marketing Specialist with campaign execution and project coordination
- Support additional marketing initiatives as needed
What We're Looking For
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and content creation
- Experience using Canva and CapCut
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Interest in influencer marketing, content creation, and online communities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Schedule
- On-site 3 days per week at our New York office
- Hours: 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM
Compensation:
- $17.00/per hour
