The Café & Ice Cream Shop Team Member provides excellent customer service while preparing and serving coffee, beverages, ice cream, and light food items. This role helps maintain a clean, welcoming environment and ensures customers have a positive experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take customer orders and process payments accurately.
- Prepare coffee, espresso drinks, smoothies, and other beverages.
- Scoop and serve ice cream, sundaes, milkshakes, and specialty desserts.
- Prepare and serve light food items according to company standards.
- Restock ingredients, toppings, cups, and supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, counters, equipment, and workstations.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Assist with opening and closing duties.
- Handle customer questions and resolve concerns professionally.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient service.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous customer service, café, restaurant, or ice cream shop experience is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math and cash-handling skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
