Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and flair
- Engage with customers warmly, taking orders accurately and providing friendly, attentive service
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS efficiently for order processing and cash handling
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas
- Manage cash register transactions, including cash handling, basic math calculations, and sales processing
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures to ensure quality and compliance
- Assist with food preparation tasks, including assembling snacks or light meals as needed
- Support inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness
Requirements
- Previous barista experience or strong coffee knowledge is preferred; enthusiasm for learning is essential
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively
- Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
- Basic math skills for cash handling, sales calculations, and retail math tasks
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in the food industry or retail math is advantageous but not mandatory
