Kumon of Tracy is seeking a compassionate, patient, and experienced Part-Time Center Assistant to provide individualized academic support to students, including children with special learning needs. This position requires someone who has previous experience working with children who have learning, developmental, behavioral, or attention challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one academic support to students, including those with special learning needs.
- Help students remain focused, motivated, and engaged during their Kumon class.
- Implement instructional strategies and behavior support techniques as directed by the Center Director.
- Foster a calm, positive, and encouraging learning environment.
- Collaborate with the Center Director to support each student's individual learning goals.
Required Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with children with special needs is required.
- Experience as a behavioral therapist, Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), instructional aide, paraprofessional, special education assistant, or in a similar role is highly desirable.
- Patient, compassionate, dependable, and professional.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with children and their families.
Schedule:
Part-time afternoon on Monday's and Thursday's and Saturdays.
