What are the responsibilities and job description for the Information Technology Manager position at KUMI MANUFACTURING AL LLC?
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for aspects of Administration and maintenance of the information technology device and system.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manage ISG departments to ensure cost, delivery and budget targets are being achieved.
- Oversee the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives in each department.
- Establish manpower requirements and departmental budgets for each department.
- Act as Management representative to customer.
- Ensure that safety, plant standards and other guidelines outlined in KMA’s handbook are consistently followed by each department.
- Ensure that coaching/counselling of associates is being conducted in a timely manner within each department.
- Oversee to analyze and solve problems making necessary countermeasures to correct problems for each department.
- Ensure that good housekeeping practices (5S) are always adhered to.
- Play an active role in achieving KCC’s Health and Safety targets/Goals,
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- May participate in coaching and counselling of associates with managers and supervisory positions.
- Communicate with KMA, customers, vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors when required.
- Attend departmental, interdepartmental, and inter-company meetings.
- Attend training classes and assist in the training of other associates.
- Ensure 5S is maintained.
EDUCATIONAL / EXPERIENCE:
· Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
· 5–8 years of progressive experience in IT, manufacturing systems, or ERP environments.
· 3 years of leadership or managerial experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
· Demonstrated ability to coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints.
· High School Diploma and post secondary education in Business Management
· Minimum of 5 years management experience in the automotive industry preferably in Plastic Injection Molding.
· Previous ISO 9000 and ISO 14001 experience.
· Previous experience overseeing multiple departments in a non-unionized facility.
· Competent decision-making ability and ability to follow through on concepts.
· Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
· Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
· Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
· High degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
· 2-3 years experience in computer system administration.
· Excellent math and computer skills required – knowledge of windows-based software.
Salary : $70,000 - $80,000
