Summary: The Director, Revenue Cycle Applications shall be responsible to lead strategy, implementation, and optimization of systems that support patient access, billing, coding, and claims across the health system. This individual will partner with operational, IT, and financial leaders to align technology with revenue cycle goals, ensure compliance, and drive efficiency. The Director will also manage vendor relationships and oversee system performance to support accurate and timely reimbursement. They play a key role to identify and implement technology-driven improvements to maximize revenue integrity and operational effectiveness.
Education/Experience
High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in Technology or related field preferred. Minimum 8 years’ experience in clinical applications support, including at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing service delivery and support functions within a healthcare or similar complex environment.
Licensure/Certification
One or more current, industry standard role-specific certifications (Cerner, Epic, etc.) preferred.

- In-depth knowledge of the full healthcare revenue cycle, including patient access, charge capture, coding, billing, claims management, denial management, and collections.
- Expertise in revenue cycle management (RCM) systems and modules.
- Understanding of healthcare finance, reimbursement models (e.g., fee-for-service, value-based care), and payer contract management.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance standards (e.g., CMS guidelines, HIPAA, ICD-10, CPT, ANSI X12).
- Strong leadership and team-building skills to manage application teams, analysts, and vendor partners.
- Ability to communicate effectively with the Business Office, operations, IT teams, and executive stakeholders.
- Strategic planning and prioritization skills to align system capabilities with revenue cycle goals.
- Ability to translate operational and financial requirements into technical solutions.
