What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Support Engineer position at Kulicke & Soffa?
This position is responsible for supporting customers in the Advanced Solutions business unit and includes:
- Installing products, performing calibration, and verifying specifications
- Troubleshooting technical issues and completing necessary repairs
- Training customer engineers on equipment operation and maintenance
- Leading technical interactions with customers
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and customer service experience in semiconductor manufacturing. Experience with Advanced Solutions (TCB) is highly desirable.
Key requirements include:
- Proven ability to work with advanced mechatronic machinery.
- Excellent communication skills
Most customer support will be based in Canada, New Mexico, Arizona and Texas. Occasional travel to other U.S. locations will be required.
Main Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair semiconductor equipment.
- Provide technical support for equipment installations, buyoffs, and training sessions.
- Serve as the lead technical interface with customers.
- Assist Application Engineers with design-related issues.
- Prepare internal technical reports and customer presentation.
- Occasional on-site support during weekends may be required.
- Travel requirement up to 75%, can include international travel as needed
