What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Packer, 1st Shift position at Kuehne+Nagel?
Come join us! We are looking for Packers at our site in Southaven, Mississippi to fulfill orders by arranging inventory in containers and preparing them for shipment. #LI-Onsite
Your Role
You will report to a Lead or Supervisor and interpret order invoices to determine which items need to be sent out, perform quality control assessments, and stack items safely and securely in the right packaging. The shift is from Monday to Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm; The pay rate is $17.00 per hour.Your Responsibilities
- Inspect, weigh, and label packages; ensure they are free of damage
- Inspect shipping containers to ensure they meet regulations
- Assemble daily orders by shipping location or any other shipping categories
- Fill out packing and order forms, seal and label shipping containers
- Ensure health and safety policies comply with OSHA regulations
Your Skills and Experiences
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of experience in a warehouse environment
- RF gun experience
- Basis technical and math skills
- Can walk and stand for extended periods of time
- Can lift up to 50 pounds
