Sign Technician Assistant

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sign Maker/Installer to join our dynamic team. This role involves designing, fabricating, and installing high-quality signage that effectively communicates our clients' branding and marketing messages. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in graphic and digital design, as well as hands-on experience in sign manufacturing and installation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to visually impactful projects while ensuring precision and craftsmanship in every sign produced and installed.

Duties

• Prepare detailed design files optimized for print production, ensuring accurate color management, layout design, and typography for media.
• Fabricate signs using various materials and techniques, including digital art, print design, and traditional sign-making methods.
• Operate tools and machinery safely to cut, shape, and assemble signage components according to specifications.
• Install signs on various surfaces with precision, adhering to safety standards and client specifications.
• Conduct quality control checks on finished signs to ensure durability, visual accuracy, and adherence to branding guidelines.
• Manage project timelines efficiently from initial concept through fabrication to installation completion.
• Maintain a clean and organized workshop environment while managing inventory of materials and supplies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in graphic design, digital art, or sign manufacturing with a portfolio demonstrating relevant work.
• Proficiency in graphic design software including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, and other graphic design tools.
• Strong understanding of branding principles, typography design for media, color theory, and visual communication.
• Technical skills in sign fabrication techniques such as CNC routing, vinyl cutting, 3D printing, or other relevant methods.
• Knowledge of sign installation practices across diverse environments including outdoor signage.
• Familiarity with web design platforms like WordPress or content management systems is a plus.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and prepare production files for print or digital output.
• Excellent presentation skills with the ability to communicate ideas clearly to clients and team members.
• Physical ability to handle materials safely during fabrication and installation processes.
• Commitment to quality craftsmanship with attention to detail in all aspects of work.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
