Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to join our team. Under the general direction of the Director of Risk Management the Risk and Quality Data Specialist assists in the overall administration, data entry and data management related to Risk & Quality departments & functions, including but not limited to ensuring proper data entry of incident reports and analysis of data for compliance with regulatory agencies, accrediting bodies, corporate and hospital policies. Assists with Risk/Quality assessments and improvement programs within the hospital. Serves at Patient Advocate, listening to patient complaints, answering complaints, within required timeframe and facilitating patient surveys to improve patient satisfaction. Demonstrates strong computer aptitude including computer software skills.
Qualifications:
- EDUCATION AND TRAINING: Associates or Bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field preferred but not required. Behavioral Health/ Hospital medical records or data entry experience, including performance improvement activities, regulatory compliance and risk management activities preferred. Familiar with patient rights and HIPPA.
- EXPERIENCE: Knowledge of Healthcare and Behavioral Health. Legal, Quality, or Risk experience helpful. Strong computer skills required.
- LICENSURE: Requirement for degree if applicable.
- PHYSICAL: Good visual acuity and ability to communicate. * Ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds and ability push/pull a minimum of 50 pounds, which includes the lifting, pushing and/or pulling of medical supplies and equipment.
- SPECIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to speak, read, writes, and communicates effectively. Ability to enter data, coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions, and meet deadlines in a detail-oriented manner. Ability to work independently without supervision at times.
- ENVIRONMENT: Indoor, temperature controlled, smoke-free environment. * Exposure or potential exposure to blood and body fluids may be required. * May work under stressful circumstances at times.
- JOB HAZARDS: Bending, lifting, walking, standing are routine. Exposure to physical and verbal aggression is possible when coming in contact with patients. May be exposed to hazardous wastes found in clinical and non-clinical areas. Eyestrain form extensive reading, writing, and computer use. Back strain may occur from long periods of sitting at desk.
- WORK RELATIONSHIPS: Must be able to work well with clinical staff, department heads, physicians, administrative staff (including inter- and intra- departments) and community contact

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
