We are seeking a dedicated Technical Service Specialist to play a pivotal role in enhancing our service operations for KMA manufactured lawn, turf, RTV, compact, and agricultural tractors and implements. This position involves developing service documentation, creating training materials, providing onsite training, and addressing technical inquiries from our sales teams to ensure efficient maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Methodically conduct the disassembly and assembly of Kubota products, ensuring all processes are documented accurately.
- Capture high-quality images and videos of the disassembly and assembly processes to assist in the creation of service documents.
- Lead Concurrent Engineering efforts by performing serviceability and maintainability checks during new product development.
- Develop specialized electrical and mechanical tools to enhance diagnostic and repair capabilities.
- Create and provide training materials, along with onsite demonstrations for sales teams, covering new features, machine operations, servicing, troubleshooting, and assembly/disassembly processes.
- Create and update technical service documentation for products manufactured at KMA facilities (excluding Construction Equipment).
- Respond effectively to technical inquiries from sales teams, providing timely and accurate information.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the assembly, disassembly, or rework of Kubota machinery or similar products.
- Ability to teach team members how to interpret engineering part drawings, torque specifications, wiring diagrams, and hydraulic schematics.
- Proficient in using tools such as electric multimeters, calipers, and torque wrenches, with the capability to train others in their use.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly.
- Proficient in computer software applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and PDF Acrobat.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Strong adherence to Kubota’s standard practices and procedures.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- In-depth knowledge of engines, power transmissions, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, fuel systems, and mechanical systems.
- Experience in photography and editing XVL formatted 3D images.
- Ability to thrive in a diverse and multicultural work environment.
- Functional mechanical knowledge of KMA products.
Working Conditions:
- Flexibility to meet deadlines, including air travel both domestically and internationally.
- Ability to write concise reports and present findings after each business trip.
- Must be certified to drive and operate RTVs, zero-turn mowers, tractors, and implements (e.g., front-end loaders, backhoes).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work on machinery using hand tools, lift and move parts, and handle hydraulic oil, fuel, brake fluid, and grease in a well-ventilated shop environment with potential exposure to fuel combustion fumes.
