In this dynamic role, your primary mission will be to swiftly address and resolve any IT-related challenges that arise within our bustling production lines. You’ll be the go-to hero, troubleshooting user and software issues, as well as tackling hardware hiccups and replacements. Your expertise will ensure the seamless maintenance of our computer environment, where you'll analyze requirements, resolve problems, install cutting-edge hardware and software solutions, and provide top-notch support to our internal users. You will take charge of the administration and internal support for the company’s PCs, printers, servers, and related equipment. Your day-to-day tasks will include delivering exceptional end-user support, tracking licenses, performing PC maintenance, troubleshooting printers, and executing upgrades and configurations with flair!
Duties and Responsibilities
- Respond with Urgency: Be the first line of defense when issues arise on our production lines—your quick actions will keep everything running smoothly!
- Service Desk Support: Answer help calls with a friendly demeanor, ensuring users feel supported and valued.
- Problem-Solving Wizard: Provide Service Desk support and resolve problems to the end user’s complete satisfaction—your goal is to leave them smiling!
- Monitor Requests: Keep a vigilant eye on our service portal, responding quickly and effectively to incoming requests.
- Ticket Management: Efficiently process tickets in a first-in, first-out manner, prioritizing based on urgency.
- Configuration Mastery: Modify configurations, utilities, and software default settings to optimize local workstations.
- Service Desk Software Utilization: Utilize and maintain our Service Desk portal tracking software (ServiceNow) to ensure seamless operations.
- Documentation Guru: Document internal procedures to create a knowledge base that empowers the entire team.
- Onboarding Champion: Assist with the onboarding of new users, ensuring they have everything they need to hit the ground running.
- Equipment Management: Ensure each workstation is fully equipped with a computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, and any specialized gear.
- Installation and Configuration: Install, test, and configure new workstations and peripheral equipment with precision.
- Inventory Oversight: Maintain an accurate inventory of all equipment, software, and software licenses.
- Escalation Reporting: Report any significant issues to the Service Desk Manager for timely escalation.
- Employee Setup: Manage the PC setup and deployment for new employees, using standardized hardware, images, and software.
- Active Directory Management: Assign users and computers to the appropriate groups in Active Directory.
- Upgrades and Maintenance: Perform timely hardware and software upgrades as required to keep our systems at peak performance.
- Cabling Expert: Terminate, test, and troubleshoot Cat6 cabling to enhance network connectivity in new and existing areas.
- Cable Management Pro: Ensure professional cable management during the installation of any computer equipment, creating a tidy and efficient workspace.
Essential Skills and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two years of service desk experience.
- Proficient in Windows 10/11 desktop troubleshooting.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Technical Certificate or associate’s degree preferred.
- A and/or Net certification.
- Experience with Cat5/6 cable termination and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Scissor Lift/Boom Lift operations.
Working Conditions

Physical Requirements
- This role requires medium physical work, involving the exertion of up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects. A clear driving record is essential, and you’ll be required to utilize scissor and boom lifts.
