Join our dynamic team as we design, develop, and enhance manufacturing processes that drive innovation and efficiency! Your expertise will play a crucial role in shaping how we produce our products, ensuring both quality and safety in every step of the manufacturing journey.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Innovative Process Development: Focus on operator safety while crafting manufacturing processes. You'll study product requirements and collaborate with equipment vendors to research, design, modify, and test cutting-edge manufacturing methods and equipment.

  • Quality Assurance Champion: Design robust manufacturing processes using poke yoke solutions to prevent quality issues. Develop testing methods, evaluate finished products, and establish standards to ensure that every product meets our high-quality expectations.

  • Productivity Enhancer: Analyze and plan workflows, space requirements, and equipment layouts in line with Kubota’s 5-Gen Principles to boost manufacturing productivity.

  • Informed Decision-Maker: Provide valuable insights for manufacturing decisions by calculating production, labor, and material costs, reviewing production schedules, and estimating future needs.

  • Project Management Leader: Oversee project-related activities transparently for new programs or changes to existing ones, including timing, budgets, design details, team coordination, and vendor procurement.

  • Data-Driven Reporter: Collect, analyze, and summarize information and trends to prepare comprehensive product and process reports.

  • Safety and Quality Advocate: Support our manufacturing team in achieving safety, productivity, and quality targets through innovative process design, optimization projects, and Kaizen initiatives.

  • Regulatory Compliance Guardian: Uphold our product and company reputation by ensuring compliance with government regulations.

  • Preventative Maintenance Facilitator: Collaborate with maintenance teams to establish preventative maintenance initiatives for new equipment, following manufacturer instructions and established procedures.

  • Database Manager: Maintain our product and process database by writing computer programs and entering data effectively.

  • CAD Design Specialist: Develop design records for tooling and fixtures using CAD applications, ensuring proper storage and organization of records.

  • Trainer and Mentor: Complete the implementation of new or revised processes by training technicians, sharing your knowledge and expertise.

  • Continuous Learner: Stay at the forefront of industry developments by attending workshops, reviewing professional publications, and engaging with professional networks and societies.

  • Team Player: Contribute to our team’s success by supporting fellow members as capacity challenges arise.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field in manufacturing.
  • Skills in dealing with complexity, leadership, supervision, manufacturing methods and procedures, quality assurance, and technical presentation.
  • Proficiency in CAD and CAD/CAM circuit design.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with AutoCAD, MS Access, or SQL.
  • Background in engineering within the manufacturing field.
  • A Master’s degree in a manufacturing-related engineering discipline is a plus!

Physical Requirements:

 

While performing the duties of this job, the team member must have the ability to work in extreme hot or cold conditions, uses hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; ascend stairs; balance; stoop, kneel or crouch; talk and hear. In addition, the team member must occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.
